Bokeo Village Faces
We’ve all been downed by a cold/flu for a few days so instead of a post, today I’m sharing some photos of the villagers which we took on our way out of the Gibbon Experience . Enjoy! We met these local boys on our way back into the village. They were having a grand old Read the Rest…
Brothers Together In Penang
There are times when my boys fight with each other just for the sake of it. There are times when they go out of their way to bug each other. And then there are moments like this. Unprompted, unscripted and priceless. Head on over to DeliciousBaby for more travel-themed Friday photo fun. Like what you’ve Read the Rest…
Che In Bangkok
BigB, wearing the Homer Simpson-Che Guevara t-shirt we picked up for him in Buenos Aires. A Che image on a Bangkok tuk-tuk on Khao San Road. A photo that begged to be taken 🙂 Head on over to DeliciousBaby for more travel-themed Friday photo fun. Like what you’ve read and interested in reading more? Subscribe Read the Rest…

Family Fun In Australia
We spent our Christmas with my sister and her family in Australia. It was great to hang out with family for a few weeks and even better to get to know my nephew and for him to get to know us – which I think we all enjoyed tremendously. Head on over to DeliciousBaby Read the Rest…
Bathroom Door Sign
My boys fell over themselves laughing when they found this by the restrooms in a cafe in Santiago. (We’ve since seen it in other restaurants, cafes and the odd hostel). Oh, yes, the joys of traveling with teen boy (bathroom) humor. It’s a laugh-a-minute most days. Trust me. Head on over to DeliciousBaby for more Read the Rest…
Colca Canyon Trek Peru
One of the best things about our Colca Canyon trek was that this was the first time we hiked as part of a group. Even though I’d been avoiding this since I wasn’t sure how other vacationers would appreciate being paired with my sometimes cantankerous children, it worked out fine. This is our group at Read the Rest…
At The End Of The Inca Trail
Yay! This photo was taken at Intipunku, the Sun Gate which leads from the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu at the end of our four-day hike. And this is inside the Machu Picchu site, just below the Sun Gate, with the peak of Huayna Picchu just visible behind us. Head on over to DeliciousBaby for Read the Rest…
The Nazca Lines
Seeing the Nazca Lines was a childhood dream of my husband’s. My kids learned about these famous geoglyphs from the Anthony Horowitz books and were equally excited boarding this small plane for our 45-minute flyover of the desert ($75 per person) to see the drawings in the sand.
Starbucks In Lima
We spent 24 hours in Lima on our way from Piura to Nazca. We stayed at the HQ Villa hostel in the Miraflores neighborhood. As we walked from the hostel to the waterfront, the boys spotted this Starbucks and insisted that we take a photo. Guess that’s what happens when you take Seattlites out Read the Rest…
