Inspiration for where to travel with children

Bangkok With Children Part II

My children loved Thailand and particularly Bangkok. This post is the second of a 2-part series on Bangkok with children. Long walks, in cities and on trails, have become a signature of this trip. Bangkok was no different.

Bangkok With Children Part I

My children loved Thailand and particularly Bangkok. This post is the first of a 2-part series on Bangkok with children. By the time we arrived in Bangkok we’d been traveling for two-and-a-half days straight and as well as being badly in need of a shower and a change of clothes we were also beyond exhausted.

A Day In Penang

The overnight train from Kuala Lumpur to Penang arrives at the Butterworth station between 5am and 6am. The train station is tiny with just two platforms and a small office.

We arrived in Kuala Lumpur early in the morning (Air Asia flights are dirt cheap but seem to always be between 6am and 8am regardless of where you’re flying from or going to).

We’re having a slight technical issue with our photos – we’ve run out of disk space and need to do some house/disk-cleaning. So, I can’t put up full posts of the last four busy, busy sightseeing days we’ve had in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. In the interim, here’s a brief taste of our first Read the Rest…

Family Fun In Australia

We spent our Christmas with my sister and her family in Australia. It was great to hang out with family for a few weeks and even better to get to know my nephew and for him to get to know us – which I think we all enjoyed tremendously. Head on over to DeliciousBaby Read the Rest…

South America Accommodation

We spent 108 days in South America. This post started because I was bored on our 2-day bus journey from San Salvador de Jujuy in Argentina to Lima, Peru. Data geek that I am, I thought it would be fun to chart the breakdown of where we’d stayed over the four months. As planned, mostly Read the Rest…
